A Quote from Ernest Holmes

  • "We cannot escape the fact that we are made in such a way that at every step life is a constant choice."

What is Daily Choices?

  • Every minute of every day we are making choices, whether we believe we are or not. We are making choices about what we will wear, what we will do, what we will eat, who we will date, marry, have lunch with, etc. You get the idea.

These choices are the fabric of our lives. These choices are the cause of everything we experience.

Daily Choices were put together to help each person realize a greater degree of wealth, health and relationships. Each day we will present one choice.

If you will think about that choice throughout the day and work to implement it, you can actually experience changes taking place in your life.

Regardless of the condition that your life is in, you can improve by making the right choices. Miracles happen every day!

Submit your Daily Choices

  • If you have a Daily Choice that has been helpful to you and would like to share it with the world, we would be glad to include it in this blog.

Submit your choice with a description here.

When we use your Daily Choice we will, of course, give you full credit and include a link back to your web site or blog. Thank you for participating!

I Choose to not eat anything that is fried today.

For some reason, people think it is better to eat fried zuchini than french fries.  Well, it may be incrementally better, but it's still fried!  Pass on anything fried today.  Try some fresh steamed vegetables instead.

I Choose to eat more fresh fish today.

A good piece of fresh fish, grilled to perfection!  Now we're talkin'.  Not only does it have less fat than some of our other choices (like that double cheeseburger you weren't supposed to have yesterday), but fish also contain beneficial oils that are good for our bodies.

Choose to have the fish today and pass on the cream sauce.

I Choose to eat a salad instead of a burger today.

Everybody knows that a salad is much better for you.  Make the simple choice today to eat a salad for lunch or dinner instead of that big ol' hamburger with french fries.

I Choose to say hello to the person at the gas pump across from me today.

A simple greeting can go a long way toward making people feel good.  Say hello to the person at the gas pump across from you today.  If you don't fill up with gas, then find someone else to say hello to.  You may be the only person who is kind to them today.  Don't let that opportunity pass by.

I Choose to look for the good in people and ignore the bad.

It is a proven fact that you get what you are focused on.  This is based on the Law of Attraction.  Whatever you focus your attention on is what you will attract to yourself.

This is especially true when it comes to other people.  When you focus on the good and pleasant qualities in a person, that is what you will experience.  If you focus on the bad qualities in a person, that is what you will experience.

Try it for yourself.  Concentrate today on only the qualities that you like in a person and ignore the bad qualities and see if that person doesn't treat you just a little bit better.

I Choose to forgive those who do not live up to my expectations!

Today's choice is actually a personal request!  I haven't done so well this week at keeping up with these Daily Choices.  Now that I have some time, I am getting back into my routine.  So, thanks for your understanding!

A lot of times we have certain expectations of people - what they will do, how they will act, etc.  It is only when they don't live up to those expectations that we get upset with them.  Cut them some slack today.

The same applies to you!  Cut yourself some slack if you don't live up to your own expectations of yourself.  There is always tomorrow.

Have a great day and choose to live well!

I Choose to tell someone I love their intuitive feelings about things, and that they are willing to speak their mind.

Intuition, sometimes referred to as our sixth sense, is a very valuable tool.  It can help us realize when we are in a situation that is not good for us or it can drive us to take action that is very beneficial to us.

Everyone has access to their intuition, some people just seem to be more developed in the use of it than others.  Encourage those around you to follow their hunches, to listen to that little voice inside and follow it.

I Choose to tell someone I love the way they work, and that they're good at it.

This is terribly important, especially if you are in a management position at work.  Letting people you work with know that you appreciate the way they work is very good for building rapport and relationships in the workplace.

I Choose to tell someone I love their decision, and that they are decisive.

Are you getting the notion that our Daily Choices this week are focused on the word "love"?  When we tell someone that we love their decisiveness, we are letting them know that we acknowledge their ability to think for themselves and take action.

After all, everyone of us is making decisions or "choices" each and every day.  If you look at the big picture, you can't really make a wrong decision.  Whatever decision you make will take you down one path or another.  You can choose, or decide, to take another path at any time.

I Choose to tell someone I love their idea, and that they get such great ones.

When you tell someone that you love their idea, you are giving them value and appreciation, two things that each and every one of us crave from time to time.

Thanks to Rosa Say at Say Leadership Coaching for her contributions of Daily Choices this week.
